7th COTA AWARD 2011 (CARABINIERI ON THE AIR)
197° anniversary of Carabinieri Force foundation

Objective: for radio amateurs and SWL around the world to contact COTA members as much as possible.
Bands : 3,5 MHz (80 mt.), 7 MHz (40 mt.), 14 MHz (20 mt.)
Mode: SSB, CW, PSK31, RTTY.
Contacts allowed: only one contact per day is allowed for the same band/mode/member. As many contacts as possible per day are allowed with different band/mode/member.

In honour of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Italian unification, participants will operate COTA stations with special call, II1CC - II5CC - II0CC to remember the three capitals city of Italy by his unit, Turin (1861-1865), Florence (1865-1871) and Rome (1871 -) .
Points:
Contacts between amateurs and COTA member in SSB mode count one (1) point
Contacts between amateurs and COTA member in CW, RTTY and PSK31 mode count three (3) points
Contacts between amateurs and special stations/area any mode count five (5) points
Contacts between amateurs and special stations any mode count height (8) points
Contacts between amateurs and “Jolly” station any mode count three (3) points
Number exchange: RS-T report plus progressive number (i.e. 59-001)
Call: SSB, RTTY and PSK31 “CQ 7° COTA Award “, CW “CQ COTA “
Scoring:
All stations: the final score is the result of the total QSO points.
To be eligible for an award, the amateurs must be collect:
OM/YL Italian (80mt, 40mt, 20mt): 15 points
OM/YL outside Italy (80mt, 40mt, 20mt): 10 points

The net proceeds will be devolved to "ONAOMAC" (Assistance for Carabinieri Force Orphans) and to the victims of earthquake and tsunami in Japan of March 11, 2011.
Categories and awards: All participants who request the 7th Diploma COTA will be entered into the final classification of the relevant category/mode.

For the absolute first classified in each category will be awarded prizes consisting of plaques and devices useful for the amateur radio activity.
Each participant at 7th COTA Award can only win one prize of their choosing.
The award ceremony will take place in Castelfidardo (AN) Italy on 18th September 2011 during the 7th COTA Radio Meeting.

The official list of stations COTA member, the additional information and classifications will be published on the website http://www.cota.cc .
The COTA stations can send, at their discretion, their own QSL cards to the contacted hams.
The special stations II0CC – II1CC and II5CC send its special QSL:
